Kay Holmes-Siedle, Director of Fundraising Research & Consultancy, is speaking at this year’s Institute of Fundraising National Convention on the subject of Achieving Early Gifts in a Young Major Donor Programme.

The session will take place on Tuesday 6th July at 4pm at the Hilton London Metropole, Edgware Road, London.

Summary of the session:
Using case studies, two young fundraisers – with some help from FR&C – will conduct a hands-on “how to” session.
The outcomes of the session are to understand what and why a fundraising case is important, what donor research really matters, how to write an approach action plan and working with staff who are at the coal-face to achieve the first gifts and gifts beyond. The session will also look at how some legacy pledgers might fit into this programme.
The session’s ambition is to get the basics right but to also raise the bar for those struggling to succeed. The session is also for Heads of Fundraising, perhaps with direct marketing backgrounds who still think major gifts is just about better direct marketing, rather than high value donor programmes.

Last year’s session – Establishing the RSPCA Major Donor Programme and Dealing with Internal Issues – was a huge success and received highly positive feed back:

“Good question session”; “Excellent course presentation”; “Very useful”
